Henri Steenkamp

CFO of Saratoga Investment Corp.

Henri Steenkamp is passionate about both countries he calls home, South Africa and the United States. Steenkamp grew up in his native Johannesburg as an avid fan of sports in South Africa including cricket, golf and rugby. Like most South Africans, he has had a lifelong love for the foods of South Africa. As an adult, his palette expanded to appreciate the fine, and globally emerging, varietals of wine from the Rainbow Nation.

Steenkamp’s passion for South African culture and lifestyle inspired him to share his experiences and knowledge of South Africa with the rest of the world. Now living in New York City, Steenkamp bridges both of his homelands providing insight into culture on both hemispheres. Through this blog, Steenkamp aims to help both South Africans and Americans understand a bit more about life in these diverse, yet similar, countries.

Henri Steenkamp is a graduate of the University of Johannesburg’s class of 1998, where he earned a bachelor of commerce with honors in financial accounting. Additionally, he is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants.
